Now in beta

Your Mac, in your pocket.

Reach My Mac puts your Mac on your iPhone and iPad and makes it feel like you never left the desk. A real video pipeline, not janky screen-sharing, so the cursor, the typing, and the scroll all feel native.

Hardware video pipeline (WebRTC) The Parsec / Moonlight approach Pay once, no subscription Private: your devices, your network
How it works

A video pipeline, not screen-sharing.

Old remotes send compressed rectangles over TCP, so any motion stalls and one dropped packet freezes the screen. Reach My Mac captures your Mac and streams it as hardware-encoded video, the same approach pro game streaming uses, so it stays smooth while you work.

Capture

ScreenCaptureKit grabs your display with zero copies.

Encode

The GPU encodes it as a live H.264 stream in real time.

Stream

WebRTC handles transport, jitter, and congestion for you.

Touch back

Your taps and keys travel back and drive the real cursor.

Features

Everything you need to actually get work done.

Native-feeling cursor

A relative trackpad with real momentum scroll. The pointer moves like it's under your finger, not a frame behind.

Full keyboard & chords

Type with your Magic Keyboard, fire ⌘-Space for Spotlight, and trigger custom compound keys you set up once.

Voice dictation

Speak into your Mac from across the house. Dictation activates instantly with permissions pre-warmed.

Face ID unlock

Your session is gated behind Face ID, so a glance is all it takes to reach your machine and nobody else can.

Home or away

On the same Wi-Fi it's a direct LAN connection. Away from home, reach your Mac over a private network path.

Text stays sharp

VNC blurs colored text into mush. A real video pipeline keeps menus, code, and fine type crisp, so you can actually read your Mac from the couch.

The app

It lives inside Claude Companion.

Reach My Mac is the fast remote built into Claude Companion, the app that already keeps an eye on your Mac and pings your phone when something needs you. Flip on Fast remote and you're there: same app, one toggle, no extra account.

Support

Questions, answered.

In beta and built for a small group of devices to start. Here's what people ask first.

How do I get the app?
Reach My Mac ships inside Claude Companion for iPhone and iPad, currently in private beta. If you're on the beta, open Settings, turn on Fast remote, and point it at your Mac. Want in? Email us and we'll get you set up.
Will it be a subscription?
No. When Reach My Mac leaves beta it'll be a one-time purchase: pay once, it's yours. Every other good remote on the App Store is drifting to a monthly bill, and reaching your own Mac shouldn't cost rent.
What do I need on the Mac?
An Apple Silicon Mac and the Reach My Mac host helper running. Grant it Screen Recording (so it can capture the display) and Accessibility (so your taps and keys can drive the cursor). That's it.
Does it work when I'm away from home?
Yes. On the same Wi-Fi it's a direct connection on your LAN. Away from home, Reach My Mac reaches your Mac over a private network path, so the stream stays between your own devices.
How is this different from VNC or Screen Sharing?
VNC and Screen Sharing send compressed image tiles over TCP, so motion stutters and a dropped packet freezes the picture. Reach My Mac streams your Mac as hardware-encoded video over WebRTC, the same approach Parsec and Moonlight use for game streaming, which is why it stays smooth while you actually work.
Is my connection private?
The pipeline runs between your own Mac and your own phone, and the transport is self-hostable. Your session is locked behind Face ID on the device.
